I am really excited about this upcoming season and even more excited to start training. This fall, I have really taken a long break to make sure I am fully rested and ready to start back up again. Last year I didn't really give myself much of a break or allowed for any down time after school finished. Plus, if training wasn't hard enough last winter, working 6 days a week ontop of it was probably too much to handle. I am also using this time to sort out any last knee/hip issues I have had for the past year or so. I now realize how important it is to be fully recovered before taking any more steps forward.
Hopefully the snow lets up enough for me to make one last trip down to Durango for some Halloween celebrations. It's probably my last big outing for the year. Plus I might be able to sneak in one more mountain bike ride before all the trails are covered and I'm nordic skiing everyday.
