A Fruitful Trip

Well the first races of the year are in the books! And damn was it a rough weekend, but super fun non the less. Fruita is easily one of my favorite places to ride, and the guys at MSC did a great job of putting together some great races for us. The Time Trial was the first event on Saturday and it was a sweet course! Super techy and a nice little climb to it in the beginning. On both days we had super fast courses, lots of power required. Not quite my specialty but like I said, super fun to ride/race on.

Both days were a bit rough for me as I finished mid back in both the TT and XC, but it was great to get back to racing and see everybody again. I have some good points going with the Mountain States Cup Series that could help me later in the fall, and above all a nice gauge for the rest of the season. I am still having some knee alignment problems, but I am on my way to Colorado Springs to visit my coach at Carmichael Training Systems to see if he can get me all set. Aside from the racers lung, me never getting to fully unpack is another welcome sign of summer. But after staying stationary for most of the winter/early spring it's a very nice change. Overall, things are going great. My forum is coming along and it was a good weekend for the Honeystinger/Trek team. A huge thanks to them and the guys at MSC for a great two days of racing!
