This is the view from my porch. I will say, it is really cool seeing all this snow. Especially since it took so long for it to show up this year. It seems like we are finally having a normal Colorado winter. With all this snow means more time on the xc skis. Not really a bummer. I am really enjoying myself this year skiing. Mentally it's a great, and I think right now its might be better for me physically. The only problem still is that I still don't have a car to get up to the nordic center. When not bumming a ride from my friends, I have been riding my mountain bike up there. It's a hassle but not horrible, and also very worth it.
I think this is the most snow I have ever seen in my backyard. Aside from getting lots of snow skiing, not too much else has been going on for me. Which actually can sum up the new year for me so far. I have been really stoked how low key and non-stressful this year has been. I have just been having fun and keeping my priorities straight. All of this is a very welcom change from last year. My friend and old roommate from Durango, Paul Gemignani came up for a day. It was really cool to see him again while he is out shredding.
My friend and old roommate from Durango, Paul Gemignani came up for a day. It was really cool to see him again while he is out shredding. It was nice catching up with him and hearing how things are going for him. I have also been watching a lot of the Olympics. Pretty cool. I have been pretty impressed with all the skiers. There has been some really cool and interesting racing going on this year. Watching the games has been helping with motivation now and again. And when it's snowing this much and only 20 degrees out I need as much motivation as I can get. Well I am out! Time to get some sleep to see if I can get in some more time outside without freezing.
